Another great loss. Woppy was the gentle bear. Can see his face now, still got a smile on it. He has joined many others in the great big tank park in the sky. See you there Woppy, some day ;-)

Woppy
My first Tp Sgt. Took him 6 months to call me Kevin, he made me earn that. He would not let me get spares from the QM(Tech) until I showed him that I could make them myself from tank park scrap. He taught both Blink and myself to use our heads and hands. I owe him a lot. RIP Mate, see you soon enough.

I was not aware that woppy had passed on to the green and pleasant lands. When I think back to my memories of him I raise a smile as he was a funny guy and very well liked. The lads used to listen to his wry and dry witt and he could kill a conversation with barrells of laughter. I liked him Rest in peace Woppy

Sept is nigh and can anyone tell me what is happening about his ashes? I understood that we had a Padre lined up to say a few words? The churchyard by the castle would have been nice but I suppose we need some sort of permission? Is anyone from the family coming up to Scarborough? Any news?

My lasting memory of Woppy, was on exercise just after Surveillance Troop had just received their Brand spanking new Spartans and we in 2 Div had a new Div Cmdr. A non smoking/drinking/swearing bible basher who had put the whole Div, dry on exercise.
1st Sqn leager & Smoker (yep those orange flashing lights underneath the newly chopped branches) and we're all slightly the worse for wear and alcohol. Tug Wilson is running round trying to find out where the yellow handbags came from?
Cheers Woppy and Surv Tp, those seats in the back of the Spartans were excellent yellow hand bag carriers!
